Jeep Just Created the Ultimate Fusion: A 1970s Cherokee and a Hybrid Wrangler

by admin

Jeep has just come up with something special – a mixture of an old 1978 Cherokee and a new 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe hybrid SUV. It looks like an old car but is actually brand-new, bright yellow and packed with modern features. So cool!

The 4xe vehicles are modern SUVs that have two electric motors, a high-voltage battery pack and a powerful engine. To make it stand out even more, there is an eight-speed automatic transmission and custom 37-inch tires on 17-inch “slotted mag” style wheels. Inside the SUV you’ll find low-back bucket seats covered in leather and a four-point safety cage instead of a rear bench seat. Moving towards the back of the vehicle, you’ll find a big cargo space with a full-size spare tire!

Jeep hosts a special event called Easter Jeep Safari each year at Moab, UT. At this occasion they bring some pretty cool car prototypes to show off. One of them is the Magneto 3.0 Wrangler- which is an electric version of a classic two-door 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with its own electric motor running up to 6,000 rpm and connected to a six-speed manual transmission… yup, it’s a stick shift!

Jeep has been working on the Magneto EV. This year’s model is a lot more powerful than before – it gives off double the power, with 900 pounds of torque and 650 horsepower! It also have 20% more range.

Jeep has been working hard to create hybrid and electric vehicles that may not be in stores yet, but you can see them in person if you’re in Utah from April 1st to April 9th. By 2025, Jeep hopes to have a hybrid version of all its main models.
