Netflix has just shared news of a new animated series inspired by Stranger Things! It’s being developed by Eric Robles and Flying Bark Productions, with the help of Stranger Things creators The Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy. Not much is known about this upcoming spin-off yet so stay tuned to find out what it’s all about!
The Duffer Brothers told Variety that they have always wanted to create an animated Stranger Things like the cartoons from their childhood and are extremely excited to have their dream come true. They think Eric Robles and his crew have created something amazing with awesome scripts and artwork, and can’t wait for other people to witness it as well. All in all, the journey keeps going!
The original TV series ‘Stranger Things’ is coming to an end in its fifth season, but that’s not all. A virtual reality game related to it is planned to be released this year and a stage play set in the same world will debut in London’s West End in 2023. On top of that, Netflix announced a live-action spin-off show last year too!
The Duffer brothers have a lot going on right now. They’re working on Stranger Things, plus making a series about the movie Death Note, and adapting The Talisman book (written by Stephen King and Peter Straub).
