Gamers have taken to Blizzard’s official forums and Reddit to voice their concerns, and it appears that even navigating the game’s menus has become a lag-riddled experience on the console.
One aggrieved player, who goes by the name Sartell, lamented, “I play on PS5 with a snazzy 120 Hz monitor and settings optimized for that output, but I’m randomly plummeting to what feels like single-digit or low double-digit frame rates, even in the menus, and sometimes right in the heat of battle.” Others have gone a step further, boldly proclaiming that Overwatch 2 is currently “unplayable” on the PS5, with some alleging that frame rates are sinking below the dreaded 20 fps mark. Interestingly, these performance issues seem less pronounced on other gaming platforms.
